What You Will Learn

  1. Developing essential job skills: discover what skills are necessary to succeed in the workforce and how you can develop them.  We will cover soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, as well as technical skills.
  2. Crafting a winning resume: a well-crafted resume is essential to landing your dream job.  Our experts from LinkedIn & Indeed will share tips on how to create a compelling resume that highlights your strengths and experience.
  3. Navigating job interviews: Job interviews can be nerve-wracking, but with the right preparation, you can ace any interview.  we will cover common interview questions and how to answer them, as well as strategies for presenting yourself in the best possible light.
  4. Building a professional network: networking is a key part of building a successful career.  You’ll learn how to identify and reach out to potential mentors, colleagues, and other professionals in your industry.
  5. Resume help: if you want to have your resume reviewed, pay a nominal fee of $25 within 30 days of the event.  A portion of the fees will go to the SHRM Foundation.

This workshop will include interactive activities and opportunities to ask questions and engage with the facilitators and other participants.  By the end of the workshop, you’ll feel confident and prepared to take on any job opportunity that comes your way!
